Toys...toys...toys....

Toys toys toys.... long ago I wrote a post about buying toys.... how I was controlling myself from buying too many toys... and now? Hubby and I are still buying toys! My living room is filled with toys... we decided to display most of his toys on mats so that he will pick them up and play! Most of the time, we parents will just put the kids' toys in baskets or store them away so that it will be neat but hey... I realised that many of the toys will continue to stay in storage.

We arrange most of his toys on a few colourful mats ( 3 metres long). After doing so, he regularly play with 'everything' he sees on the mats.

Most of the corners found in my living room are filled up with his toys...

From Legos to cars to blocks..... everything is on display in hope that he will play with them. :)

Will we stop buying toys? Wanted to...but hard to resist.... I mean...everything seems to benefit Reese... so how?

Mummy.... play with me!

Thomas collection is growing... not that Reese is obsessed but us parents...hahaha

See the train tracks (another 1/3 hidden from the picture)? it took up almost 1/3 of my living and dining area...

His Christmas present for this year... another Thomas and friends collection

and a pair of sneakers.

I like ur idea. once i m at the new place, i will setout a corner to display philip's toy. so that he can remember to play them, rather than storing it.

That was a lot of toys!!! I love your idea of displaying all the toys like that too but I have problems with dust! I bet you have to clean them quite often compare to storing them somewhere else right?

Leona,
Hope you will have a wonderful new year!

LittlLamb,
Wah... new place..when moving? And yes... it's definitely a good idea.. ever since I display all his toys.. he plays with everything... even things that were in storage since he was a baby!

MommyAngel,
Hey, it's definitely worth all the cleaning... toys from his baby days are being played as well! And now that I don't have a maid, I clean his toys say 2 weeks once, I don't open the windows so much.. hehe.. As and when.. I will use a super absorbant duster to dust the toys and the mats. It's really worth it.. try it...

Wow....Reese is indeed a lucky boy. So many toys and I just love the idea of displaying the toys. Unfortunately Darren does not interested in toys so much. So, I have even stopped buying him toys nowadays. Waste my money only..hehehe...
