Some of the things we did to help improve his fine motor skills:
Last weekend we bought some new toys to help Reese improve his fine motor skills.
The abacus allows Reese to count, move the beads around
Tool box has a hammer, spanner and a screwdriver, lots of holes for him to nail, screw...
Reese has started using a spoon to feed himself too. :) We allow him to make a little mess, so far he can feed himself with mash potato and ice-cream. Tool box has a hammer, spanner and a screwdriver, lots of holes for him to nail, screw...
Allowed him to play with barley beans, scooping, pouring and picking up the beans. He enjoyed it very much but of course, we have to closely supervise him. Let him play with bowls, cups and watering can during shower time.
Potty training a week ago.... did it for only one day...haha... so stressful.

Nice tool box.Where did u get it from? I have run out of ideas of what to buy for Ryan already in terms of educational toys. Everytime i go out, all i think is Hotwheels cars. Does Reese like the abacus?
Hi leona,
I bought the tool box and abacus from Choo choo train at The Gardens (Midvalley) ...the tool box was 50% off! :) we pay around RM39 i think...and the abacus... Reese likes to play with it... just sliding the beads here and there... it's RM59.90.
Wow! Great toys!!
My boys too love to play scooping and pouring with a mixture of shell pasta, peanuts and kuaci (just a so-happened mixture, but the different shapes and colours are quite interesting).
Anyway, they take it one step up: They use their toy tractors, excavators and dump truck while at play.
yeah nice and colorful new toys for reese :)
