My son can draw well!

Busy drawing his favourite things!

His first complete art work!

I am so proud of Reese. He drew the above all by himself! Do you know what it is? It's Mr. Frederikson's house! It has balloons coming out of the chimney, flags on the roofs, windows, doors, steps leading to the house and even railings! :)

Not bad right? He is not even four yet!!! I am soooo proud of him.

School Holidays

I am quite good at dancing!

Surprise early birthday celebration for paternal grandparents

Father's day celebration at home with daddy and paternal and maternal grandads

I am a big boy now!

Being goofy!

Having fun with the birdies!

This boy has no fear of animals!

The June holidays was quite good. Reese's paternal grandparents came down from Penang to spent some time with him and that gave him a lot of company and attention! His grandparents were gaga over him! :)

I got a break too. Over the two weeks we celebrated my birthday (kinda! and hubby got me a new watch), Father's day and my in-laws birthdays. Took Reese to the malls, he came in close contact with birdies, had a fun time watching a magic show and kinda participate in it as well and best of all, he got a free balloon ride again (Pavilion).

Reese also pick up more Hokkien thanks to my in-laws.

This is totally hilarious! My son is really hyper and even the clown can't control him! :)

A talk on Phonetic Reading

Dear Mummies and Daddies,

I will be giving a talk on 'Phonetic Reading for Young Children' this Saturday at Kizsports & Gym @ The Waterfront, Desa Park City, Kepong. If you are interested in knowing how my program can benefit your children, do come and have a Q & A session with me. Bring along your children for a free assessment of your children's proficiency in English reading.

I will be conducting Phonetic Reading classes using The Victoria Readers Program (www.victoriareaders.com.my). Besides phonetic reading, children will be introduced to many great children literature as well as poetry to help them appreciate the English language better. Teaching is through play and children learn best when they have fun!

Classes will commence in July.

A little surprise at Pavilion...

We had lunch at Pavilion yesterday and went window shopping after that. At their centre court we were surprised to see thousands of balloons decorated the place and right in the middle was a giant floating balloon! Then we saw kids taking rides on the balloon. Reese was soooooo excited (he is crazy over balloons and hot air balloons)

In order to take a ride on the giant balloon, we have a few options. Buy above Rm200 from any shops in Pavilion or buy above RM50 from any stalls at the centre court will get you a free giant balloon ride .

Reese was contemplating whether he wants to go up or not... after 15 or 20 minutes later... he told us he wanted to go.... so we went and bought some stuff and redeemed the token. They weighted him (21.8kgs). Max weight was 30kgs. He was so happy and excited....but the moment he saw that he needed to wear the safety gears.... he tried to chicken out... mummy had to convinced him to stay put and after some tussle... he was seated below the balloon.. still wanted to get out but evil mummy managed to tricked him and they quickly fasten the hooks and stuff... ready to take off... didn't give Reese enough time to think...and off he went! See his frightened face in the video...hehehe

After the second bounce... he began to smile and then made a big fuss and refuse to get down! :) The rest of the afternoon... he talked about his experience on the balloon ride and even dreamt about it. The balloon ride is on till 15th June!

Museum RMAF Field Trip

We had a field trip yesterday to RMAF Museum at the old airport in Sungai Besi. I didn't know it exists! First impression when we reached the entrance was bad. Entrance didn't look much of an entrance and all I can see was some 'pondoks' and container like structure. When we went in, one of the teacher went to search for a guide to take us around. The guide wasn't much help actually, can't speak English and only did very little explanation about the aircraft.

The kids were very excited when they saw some helicopters landing and taking off from the runway. We were then taken to the main hangar where some planes and helicopters were on display. I started to feel excited as I have never been this close to so many aircraft! There is even a helicopter where the kids can actually sit in it and play with the switches and stuff. It's actually not bad at all.

There are a few planes on display outside the hangar and one of the plane was open for kids to climb in and explore. The kids were really enjoying themselves even though they didn't learn much about the aircraft but they got to play around and be in the aircraft. That is good enough for them. Reese even started drawing aircrafts that very day at home! :)

Overall, it is highly recommended. It is free too!

Having fun looking at the 'Big' planes

Planes on display inside the hangar

Excited playing with grass and ferns while waiting for helicopter to take off

Everyone waiting for the helicopter to take off

This is Bell. Children are allowed to sit inside and explore with the gears and switches

Reese loves playing with the gears and switches

Didn't want to get out... Was playing in there for a good 10 minutes

Inside one of the planes

Having snacks after the visit

Pooh talk....

Reese: Mummy! 'ng ng'!!!!
Mummy: Oh... ok... let's go to the toilet... quick! (Put Reese on the throne)
After a while....
Mummy: So.... is it a big one?
Reese: Yup.... big one coming... (one piece of stool came out!)
Reese: Oooo Ohhhh... another one.... a small one.... maybe a long one....
Mummy: Are you done yet?
Reese: Nope.... more coming.... 'ng ng' very hard... so have to 'ng ng' slowly....
Reese: Reese have to eat more vegetables.....
Reese: It's coming.....mmmmmMMM......
Reese: How many pieces of 'ng ng' mummy? (Grins)
Mummy: Ooooeeweeee..... so smelly... (Pretends to close her nose)
Reese: (Laughs out loud). Mummy.... you cannot close your nose!
Mummy: (laughs)... finished?
Reese: YEEEESSSSS..... finished... can wash now.

Our typical pooh talk. Reese likes to describe his pooh with a lot of details with his limited vocabulary. Believe it or not... It's one of my favourite moments with him... having a pooh chat while waiting for him to pooh! hahaha....
