My new toy

Mummy bought me a new toy. It's a Sit-To-Stand Activity Walker by Vtech.

I like it and enjoy playing with the puppy joystick. The music is cool too. I prefer to stand and so far, I love moving the ball on the steering wheel. It comes with a rear mirror and honk too!

Reese my precious little one

Every morning (most mornings) he wakes up with a blurry look and then when he sees me, he will flash his toothless smile. He is such an angel. Thank you God for giving me this little precious one. He melts my heart. It's hard to believe that he was once a tiny little bean like creature in my womb. The first time I saw him with a little heart beating ever so fast and little movements he made as he grew in me, I was over come with emotions. Fascination, curiosity, fear and most of all joy. It's hard to believe that he is now seven months and two weeks old. Time really flies.

Bonding is really important. When I first met him, I have doubt whether I will love him very much, it was a stressful two months. Deprived of sleep, recovering from the stiches, coping with Carpel Tunnel Syndrome (both wrists) and endless pain as a result of sore and crack nipples. I nearly gave up breastfeeding (now don't feel like giving up breastfeeding!). It was very tough. Not easy to be a new mother BUT as he grew... like every other mother will tell you... all the pain and suffering you endure... it's worth it. AND it is very true. :)

I am lucky that I work from home and I get to be close to my son. Whenever I am free, I will spend time with him. I love to feed him, bath him and play with him. It's so wonderful to see him learn new skills everyday plus his cheeky looks and loving smiles really can kill! :)

It's really funny, whenever hubby and I go shopping anything that we purchase for Reese... the price tag is the last thing we look at! Not very rational thinking parents huh? wait till you have a kid and you will know what I mean :)

I am already thinking about his First birthday. I am thinking of a picnic birthday party filled with balloons and... sssshhhh....

Reese, when you are old enough to read this post I want you to know that I love you very very much. :)

Mother's Day

Yesterday I gave mummy a pink carnation (courtesy of Yeye). It's my first gift to her. :) I am so proud of it. Hehe... pictures on the way... Yeye.. please upload and send it to mummy.

Mummy and daddy got me a cheap ball from Careffour. I was laughing when koko Jordan and Reuel play with the ball on Saturday. So now I have a ball of my own! I am enjoying it but I am not allowed to lick it! Hehe...cause it's not safe... Mummy is going to get me another one.. one that I can lick to my heart's content...

I love mummy and daddy soooooo much.

'tim sum' morning

Went to have 'tim sum' with mummy and daddy dearest and I behaved quite well... sat on the baby chair and play with my toys! It is a good start... later in the evening we are going to Aunty Selvi's house for parenting discipleship class. Tomorrow is mother's day and I am going to go Popo's house. Mummy told me we are going to celebrate Yeye and Yepo's birthday and mother's day with popo and of course mummy. Four celebration... We are going to have steamboat. It's going to be fun.

Yesterday I impressed everyone with improvement to my crawling practise. I was able to straighten both my hands and legs in a crawling position... I guess in another week or two I should be able to crawl! Can't wait to be mobile! Yahoo...

Mummy is going to try chicken porridge today... hehe... hope I don't disappoint her.

Education

Mummy is concerned about my future education. She is looking at alternatives besides national schools. Honestly, she doesn't have faith in them. She will blog about some of the alternatives here to share with other mummies who are thinking about other options.

Mummy will also share about her experience in teaching children language skills and hopefully other children will benefit from it as well. Mummy has a target for me! She wants me reading by age 3 without the pressure of course. I must say, mummy is very good with kids! :)

Mummy wants this to be an online diary of my life as well as a blog filled with information to share with other first time mothers and pro mothers in bringing up their children!

Oh, by the way... I was good last night, only got up twice! yes....

Changes Part II

Well, well, well..... My first experience with the zapp stroller... SCARED!! I was holding on to the sides and looking blur/scared when daddy push me around the garden! Mummy and daddy had fun laughing at me. Gggrrr.....

BUT... yesterday I sat on it again in the morning and later another round of garden walking with Kong kong... I am more relaxed and confident.... hehehe....

These days I am eating more solid as well as more milk. But I am becoming a fussy eater. Only selected food I will take. Just like a king. Mummy is going to try cooking porridge for me this weekend. This time chicken porridge... I wonder whether I am going to eat.... sometimes mummy will call me "sui jai"... go figure it out... :)

Another problem... I refuse to sleep properly... mummy tried feeding me more milk before my bedtime.. it's not working, I still get up a few times throughout the night. Poor mummy...oh..daddy too.

Changes

Yesterday I discovered moving backwards... not exactly crawling...but somehow I can move backwards with my hands and legs and I can also move 360% on my tummy. :)

Today, the whole day I refuse to sit in my car seat(semi recline). I keep wanting to get up. Next, daddy and mummy went to The Curve to have lunch and for the first time, they a baby chair was offered to me. Daddy and mummy never even thought of it! Guess what? I can sit pretty well in it. They are delighted even thou it's only for a short while.... hehe..

Then when we reached home, after daddy had his nap, he and mummy lowered my "papan" in the baby cot so that I cannot 'kena' accident. After that they fix my zapp and now it's a stroller! I can sit up instead of being in my car seat.

Oh, one more change, mummy is going to feed me supper before my bedtime and hopefully I will sleep better. Aunty Carmen suggested another feeding because she thinks I might be hungry and thus the waking up (3 to 4 times) every night.

Will tell you what happen tomorrow. Oh... forgot, today Koko Jordan 'sayang' me and gave me 2 kisses.... hehe..

My Parents

I haven't really introduce my parents right? Let me tell you a little bit about them. :)

My daddy and mummy met online. Yes! that was more than 11 years ago... They met on an American chatsite. They chatted over a year before they met in real life. They fell in love. They got married on 24th April 2004. It was a beautiful wedding. Then in late January 2006, I was conceived. Wonderful isn't it? Mummy was not aware of it and was happily jumping up and down at the Delirious first concert in Malaysia!

My mummy's name is Florence. She is in the education line. She is pretty in my eyes... I love her very much. She is funny, sociable, loving and can be very serious too.

As for my daddy, his name is Adrian. He is in grahpic design line. He is handsome and I love him just as much. He is funny, creative, loving and passionate in his music.

They are both in their 30's and look younger than their age! hehe.. Here is a picture of them.

Got a Professional hair cut

Yesterday mummy took me to a hair salon and I had my first professional hair cut. It was RM12.00. I behaved quite well, thou I did cried a little. Kakak held me while mummy tried to distract me with toys. After about 10 minutes, the Cheh cheh said done!

What a blunder...

Mummy cut my hair yesterday and unfortunately made a blunder!

Because I can't sit still and being so inquisitive...i just kept moving and trying to grab mummy's scissors... so she accidentally cut of my right side burn... now...one side with and the other side without a side burn! :)

I had my first taste of apple sauce made by mummy yesterday... it was yummy and today...my first taste of abc fish porridge. I tried a little but was too sleepy... so will try again after my nap.

Mummy really enjoyed cooking for me. I hope i will eat up all the porridge she so lovingly prepared for me!

Diapers

Lately due to it's high cost.... mummy decided to try another brand of diapers instead of just Mamy Poko. She bought me Huggies Dry Comfort.

It's actually pretty good. I have no problem adapting to it and Popo claims it's lighter too! :)

I am wearing size L now... really getting bigger by the day.

So during the day I will wear Huggies Dry Comfort and during the night I will wear Mamy Poko. I am glad that I can help save some money!

One thing thou, I hate to be changed! I will wiggle, turn and worse of all...cry. Now it takes two to change me! One needs to distract me while the other do the changing.

It's Strange

A few days back, after a nice warm shower, mummy decided to dry her hair while I played in the baby cot. Guess what happened? The moment mummy turn on the dryer.... I stare at it for a while.....pout my lips and then....... I started crying! super big drops of tears started to appear and mom was surprised... Mummy couldn't believe it... I am afraid of the hair dryer's loud sound!

Then two nights ago, she tried it again with daddy carrying me and playing with me. Guess what? I cried again... wonder what's got into me lately!!

Sick for the first time!

On 11th April, I fell sick. Mummy took me to see Dr. Yong at Pantai. I got runny nose and abit of cough. I had to take 2 different medication and also nasal drops. I was ok after 2 days! Thank you God for protecting me. :)

They weighted me at the hospital and I was 8.34kgs and 71.6cm tall. Not bad! I am growing well, getting plummer by the day... hehe..

Recently I spent some quality time with my grandparents from Penang... it was really good, Dad had a knee operation and I got to be with him quite a bit at home!! My grandparents in KL missed me alot during that one week... hehe...

Lately I am consuming more semi solid food. I love garden vegetables with sweet corn (babynat), I like pumpkin alot and taking a little bit more water! Popo found an ingenious way to feed me water! they feed me with some food and then feed me water .... I happily get tricked into drinking! Lately I dislike papaya and I don't like leek, carrot and potato (babynat).

Mummy is going to start me on porridge next week! I will get to taste fish porridge (organic brown rice) with pumpkin or potato/carrot. I wonder whether I will enjoy the new food....mmm... I really don't want to waste mummy and daddy's money...

What else to blog about... oh... I just found out that I have been tagged! Jordan koko that is...

Did I tell you that mummy and daddy want to take me to some talent agency for photo shoots? Wonder when they are going to do that and it would be nice if I can get a job or two... earning my own money for my education fund...mmm...

I will be 7 months in 4 days! Yahoo.....

Hello all! It's been a while, I have been busy learning new skills, gaining weight and charming people around me.... hahaha..

Things I can do:

I can easily turn over/back both sides and able to lift my head really high up.
I can do double turn overs.
I can make more sounds and more controlled shouts.
I can eat semi solid food. (love it) Mummy gives me organic stuff like rice cereal, papayas, bananas, pumpkins, sweet potatoes, (Jar food:peaches, apples and pears)
I can sleep on my own most of the nights.
I can even sleep on my own during my nap time, thou not so frequent.
I can play on my own.
I am a pro in grabbing things.
I can sit on my own for a short while.
I can fall down from the mattress! (eerr.. that's what happen two weeks ago)

Things I love:

I love to watch my Po Po sing and dance with me.
I love Kong Kong Therapy (playing and having afternoon naps with me).
I love eating.
I love to play.
I love Pee-A-Boo.
I love to watch exaggerated actions.

Things I hate:

I hate to drink WATER!
I still hate to be alone.
I hate changing time.
I hate Sweet Potatoes.

Chinese New Year

Had a great time in Penang visiting relatives for the first time. I got to see my Pg Kong kong and Ama and also God Kong kong. They were so happy to see me. And obviously.... i was pampered by them. Ah... it's really wonderful when you get all the attention!

I got alot of angpows and I have recently turn 5 months old. My latest report coming up in the next update. I behaved well thoughtout my journey to/back Penang. I can't wait to go back again in June to attend my Ah Pek's wedding. Wonder whether mom can get me a nice bowtie.

I also got to know my Ah Pek and Aunty Winnie better. And it's fun seeing my Ah Pek trying his best to interact with me.... hehehe...

My Charming laughter

New Mozzie Bite... New Hair Cut!

Chinese New Year is just a week away and I got bitten by a mosquito a second time. Of all places... it has to be on my forehead, right in the middle. Anyway, still having fun discovering and learning things around me. Almost everyday learning a new trick or two. Now when sleeping on my back I can easily turn over and sleep on my tummy! I can turn over very quickly now and also able to lift my head and chest up real high to see things above me. I am going to be 4 months and 2 weeks old soon... actually on Valentine's Day... hehe..

Yesterday evening mom gave me a hair cut. This time instead of being carried by Kakak, I sat on my bumbo seat. Mom managed to cut my hair properly. The back part of my hair got cut evenly... more handsome now... New hair cut, new clothes, new mozzie bite, new tricks... Penang here I come! Going to melt my relatives heart...... woohooo...
